Show your kids the career that you love and still be home for bed time
Description
Finding a job that you love, uses your unique skills, and let’s you be the parent your kids deserve sounds impossible. It isn’t.
I found it in the most unlikely place. Now I understand that it wasn’t actually that unlikely at all, just surprising. I want to help you find that job as well.
I spent a decade as a working parent realigning my roles and career with what my family needed. During that time, I worked at a big corporation and a startup, I was an individual contributor and an executive vice president, and I left it all to be a stay at home dad. Each of these steps was done to give me the energy to be a great dad and also honor what my family needed at the time.
The biggest hurdle was myself – constraints I put on my career, identities that held me back, and not understanding how I provided the most value to my company. Once I got clear on all those – my job was something I looked forward to and it let me be there for my kids.
Job searching is a skill – and as a working parent it is particularly tough because you are up against so much rejection. It is hard to keep a positive attitude and confidence, which you need for both your kids and your applications.
This course boils down everything I learned in a decade into a simple, practical series of steps that will help you go from stuck at a job you hate to a role where you flourish and support your family too.
